We’re In the Homestretch
2023 has been an exceptionally productive year for Northern Michigan Mountain Bike Association. Over the past several months, we’ve made substantial progress toward expanding and improving the Vasa Singletrack, helped guide improvements at Hickory Hills, and collaborating to continue improving the Vasa Bike Park.
We couldn’t do it alone.
Thanks to the support of countless volunteers, individual donors, and community partners, NMMBA has made a real impact on trails in our area. These projects are front and center as we roll into 2024.
The Timber Ridge Matching Challenge
We have through end of the year to match up to $10,000 pledged by the Timber Ridge Charitable Foundation, the giving entity operated by Timber Ridge Resort and RV Park. Consider donating to double your impact!
The TREE/Supply Road Improvement Project
Spearheaded by our VST Trail crew and the efforts of a dedicated committee, the TREE project has already welcomed a changing room and restroom to the trailhead on the heels of expanded parking and several much-needed trail adjustments.

Hagan’s Hangout Pump Track at the Vasa Bike Park
Einstein Cycles, Brick Wheels, Suttons Bay Bikes, and Wild Card Cycle Works have contributed a combined $5,500 for the proposed pump track in honor of Dave Hagan – and we’re challenging YOU to match it! This memorial is a fitting testament to Dave’s love of bikes, BMX, and good times – we hope you can contribute!
You Can Make THE Difference
Year-end donations are a core part of our funding and help us make accurate, reliable financial projections for the year ahead. We know there are many deserving local organizations that provide important services and experiences in the region – if mountain bike trails and a strong community align with your priorities, we will always appreciate your support.
