New Date and Venue for the Traverse City Trails Festival!

Published on 1/29/2023

We're pumped. Driven by racer feedback and input from our sponsors, the Traverse City Trails Festival presented by Stone Hound Brewing is shifting gears. (Sorry, singlespeeders)

The 2023 edition of the TCTF slides back to it's new date and new location. We'll see at Timber Ridge on September 2023 for a retooled Traverse City Trails Festival presented by Stone Hound Brewing. We believe the change will increase the event's impact and achieve three main goals:

- Create an inclusive event that attracts in riders of all abilities
- Utilizes the very best sections of singletrack in the Pere Marquette Forest
- Serve as NMMBA's primary fundraiser of the year

Coming Home to Timber Ridge

We've loved having Ranch Rudolf serve as the start and finish venue for the TCTF for several years. Moving the race to Timber Ridge still feels like a bit of a homecoming. Timber has served as our base of winter grooming operations for nearly a decade now, and of course it's been the site of the North American Vasa, Bigfoot Snowshoe Race, and the finish of the Iceman Cometh Challenge for years. Timber makes putting on an event like the TCTF so much easier and feel like a family reunion!
It also means the race will avoid crossing Supply Road or having to spend a lot of time on sandy gravel roads. Timber also allows us to easily access more of the very best singletrack in the Traverse City Trail Network!

Why the TCTF Matters

The Traverse City Trails Festival is NMMBA's way of bringing the Michigan cycling family together. We're committed to building trails and a dedicated, informed and active community together to protect natural areas and promote active lifestyles. Events like the TCTF help us connect to a wider audience - and make plenty of new friends.

How You Can Get involved
