The Commons Bike Park Project

Located behind the Old State Hospital and the Copper Ridge development, the Commons Bike Park has enjoyed rapid improvement and organization over the past several years. Spearheaded by a dedicated group of volunteers, the trail system is quickly becoming safer, more strategic and sustainable, and more purpose-built for the hearty community of downhill and free ride bikers investing so much time into the project.

Trail Development and Priorities

The Commons Bike Park Project plans to break ground in 2026, which require financial support to complete. So please donate below.

  • Preserve existing trails wherever possible
  • 3+ miles of professional machine-built trails
  • Sessional 'hubs' with flow trail loop
  • Clay, stone and Woden materials
  • New maps and signage
  • Phase 1 (2026) funded with donations - #12 to long lake road (red on map)
  • Phase 2 (2027) funded with donations - remainder of trails in red on map
  • Managed by NMMBA

Your contribution will help address these issues and make the Commons not just the downhill mountain bike mecca it deserves to be, but also a more vibrant and exciting trail system for hikers and families.
