It's been a long time coming, but thanks your support and the incredible generosity of the Cherry Capital Cycling Club, the Vasa Singletrack has a restroom worthy of this famous trailhead.
The VST has served as the starting point of countless mountain biking adventures. One of our goals has been to make the VST more fun, more sustainable, and more accessible for riders of all ages and abilities. As a part of our reViSiT campaign and through several phases of trail development and restoration, we've accomplished many of our goals.
Vasa Singletrack Trail Progress
We improved trail sustainability and safety through several substantial trail redirects and reroutes, including eliminating the fly-through-the-middle-of-the-parking-lot trail finish. We've also worked with the DNR to expand the parking lot and improve the parking surface from the Supply Road entrance to your favorite parking spot.
NMMBA, working with input and funds from Cherry Capital Cycling Club, has long prioritized the addition of an accessible and clean restroom. This summer, we've finally got the keys to a brand new restroom that makes a post-work shred or fun morning on the trails more accessible, convenient - not to mention sanitary.
Accessibility and Convenience
The new bathroom structure offers trail user a private spot to "check their tire pressure" before heading off for a ride, plus a spot to change from workday attire into Hero Dirt Spandex for their evening lap of the VST.
Soon, the VST will also have a pavilion similar to the one completed at the Cadillac Pathway, making it a ready-made place to ride, run, walk or simply spend time in the woods.
Thank You!
We can't thank our community, our members, and our volunteers enough for making this happen. The NMMBA board and a dedicated committee have invested countless hours to make this project possible, and we hope you'll enjoy the convenience of a perfectly placed pitstop before or after your next ride.
