It’s officially official! We have confirmed trail permits for the 2018 Traverse City Trails Festival for this summer.

With support from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, the best all-single track mountain bike race in the state is on the calendar for July 21. Choose from 40 or 25-mile race distance, a number of competitive categories, or just take a day to enjoy the trails by signing up for the tour!

The race will again start and finish at Ranch Rudolf, with a special price on rooms and camping sites also open! Make it a weekend, because you won’t want to miss a very fun evening with music, friends, and the gorgeous surroundings at the Ranch.

For those looking for a true test of single track skills, this is the race for you. Aside from a few early miles of wide-open racing to help line-out the race, the course features miles after mile of twisting trail, using the best sections of unmarked single track in the Pere Marquette Forest. It’s the only day of the year you’ll find any arrows or markings on those trails, so if you want to learn them for yourself, here's your chance!

On the other end of the spectrum, the option to tour the same 25 and 40-mile courses let folks get out and enjoy the trails at their own pace. Ride with your friends, by yourself, or roll with a new group or riders and take in the morning together. No pressure, no timing, but the same trail and the same party at the end!

The 2018 Traverse City Trails Festival is the first event in the new NMMBA Trail Series, a non-points challenge to see, race, and enjoy three great NMMBA trail networks. After TCTF, you have a month to get ready for the Glacial Hills Challenge in beautiful Bellaire, Michigan. Cap off your season, or get ready for Iceman, with the final race of the Series, the Bear Claw Epic on the Cadillac Pathway on September 22.

Registration for the TCTF is open, get signed up and help support our great trails with an unforgettable day in the woods!
