Chuck and John will head out at 6:00am in the morning provided we get a total of three inches of snow. We should finish up around 8:30 the trail should be setup by about 10am. Leelanau State Park is groomed!
We expect conditions to get soft this weekend. If you are leaving a rut deeper than 1” in the base stay off the trails as the ruts will freeze in. Also, please run 2-4 PSI to lower the chances of creating a rut we cannot remove.
On that note we did take out "Ice Road" and shortened the course to 14K. We will have a one lap 14K race for the Short's-n-Fat, with a 3 lap race for the Short's Grand Fat long race.
All NMMBA trails have been groomed and we are continuing to maintain the trails through the weekend. Expect epic winter riding conditions as we have received over 12” of fresh powder. Trails will be slightly soft so use low pressures 4 PSI or below.
Great trail conditions on fresh snow for this weekend!
With Winter Weather on the Way expect fresh packed powder on all trails over a firm base.
Cadillac pathway has received no measurable snow amounts in the last few days. The freezing drizzle from earlier this week has created icy conditions so if you do venture out studs are recommended. The good news is the trail is still rideable but as stated it is slick.
Do your snow dance and hopefully we receive a good snowfall soon!
Closed low snow
Glacial Hills is solid, very firm base.
Ideal conditions firm base, we have been our grooming with the compaction drag pulling snow into the groove and filling in ruts on the singletrack and Riley's. A great weekend to ride.
Expect excellent conditions heading into the weekend with a little fresh snow.
Traverse City, Cadillac and Glacial Hills will be groomed for the weekend.
