NWS Forecast here.
After 15-20" of fresh snow in Bellaire overnight Friday, Darren, Steve, and Patrick all took turns packing down the trail. They finally feel that the trail will be in good riding shape for your New Year's Eve adventure. That is of course if we don't get another foot or more of snow overnight. If you are happy to receive these reports, and have any friends that use the trails with you, please consider telling them about our grooming badge program. The snowmobile uses a lot of gas when we have to groom this much to keep up with it. We are thankful for your support!
Due to the high volume of snow, we have not been able to keep up with the foot path or get a start on classic xc ski tracks. If Mother Nature cooperates after the New Year, we will renew our effort to catch up on those two groomed trails. In the meantime, feel free to use the fat bike trail for snow shoeing or xc skiing. For foot traffic please use the 20 plus miles un-groomed trails or check out our friends at Grass River Natural Area.
