The Bear Claw Epic Mountain Bike Race

Is held the fourth Saturday in September in Cadillac, Michigan at the Cadillac Pathway.  The course is multi lap race, each lap made up of about 8 challenging miles of trail filled with single track, two track, and plenty of challenging climbs.  The race is designed for mountain bikers of all abilities and aims to challenge both the beginner and expert rider alike. 

The mission of the Bear Claw Epic:

Is to promote the sport of mountain biking, and advocate for the preservation of maintenance of the Cadillac Pathway.  Proceeds from the race will go towards accomplishing our goals for improving and preserving the Cadillac Pathway, which include:

  •     Building more single track
  •     Make the existing cross country skiing trail more sustainable
  •     Build/develop a fat bike groomed trail
  •     Buy a new snowmobile for grooming both cross country skiing trail and the proposed fat bike trail
  •     Buy fat bike trail grooming equipment
